Interview with Maple Tables

-Who is Maple Tables and whats the story behind the name?

MT: It was what was in front of me at the time and ive been meaning to change the name for a while but i havent decided yet and maple tables is basically and open band i would like to collaborate with others and im open to all forms of music.

-What do you think about when you hear "Maple Tables" and what would you want your listeners reaction to be like?

MT: Im not really sure I think it should be up to them I would want them to get involved with it.

-You say you want them to get involved, but how?

MT: if they have a certain idea i want them to come up to me and tell me we can maybe jam on it maybe form a full band you never know
i guess you cant really call this a band ha

-Haha, is this all an experiment? Will you put more stuff up soon?

MT: In a way yes, but i wouldnt mind for it to go anywhere and yes hopefully when i get more equipent and maybe learn to create loops amd beats and such


-What do you use to record your stuff? Will there ever be a Maple Table's show?

MT: haha soo far all ive used to record was my friends mac's microphone sooooo i need to get some equipment and my dream would be to have a show kind of like animal collective just lots of lights and video clips and dancing

-Sounds like a plan, how long have you been tossing the idea of having a band and why aren't you in one right now?

MT: well ive been in "bands" before with my friends but quite frankly i never really liked it my taste in music is different in many ways but it was fun for a little and im not in one because its hard finding people around here whos open to other forms of music that isnt ska, thrash, or beatdown haha sooooo if anyones interested...
